The trend of developing unburnt materials in the world

Not only in Vietnam, currently developed and developing countries see the production and use of unburnt materials as an inevitable trend of construction in the future. Many countries around the world have their own policies to support the development of this friendly material, gradually replacing traditional baked materials.
In Europe and other developed countries in Asia, from the 1960s and 70s of the last century, the production of unburnt materials has developed, and now has almost completely replaced baked clay bricks. Unburnt materials have an increasing market share because many governments in the country have early policies to support this material to compete with baked materials.

Typically, China has issued a ban on the production and use of baked clay bricks in 170 cities since 2003. Thailand has not issued a policy to encourage unburnt materials, but strictly controlled land use. , therefore, calcined materials cost much more than unburnt materials. In addition, market factors regulate the unburnt material industry in Thailand is very developed, such as lightweight concrete 10 years ago. In India, unburnt bricks are tending to become the second most popular material after fired bricks, accounting for about 24% of total construction materials.

In developed countries, unburnt materials account for about 60% of total construction materials, baked clay bricks only account for 10-15%. In the United States, green building programs are on the rise at a significant rate due to the preferential and incentive policies of local and federal governments, with up to 1/3 of new commercial construction projects being Green buildings, completely constructed by environmentally friendly materials such as unburnt materials. In the next 5 years, the green building activity of the commercial sector is expected to triple, worth US $ 120 - 145 billion in new construction.

In Vietnam, the demand for construction materials is very high because our country is in the development stage. Demand for 2020 is estimated at about 42 billion bricks, but currently the production of unburnt materials only accounts for 8-10% of the total construction materials. By 2014, in terms of block production in the country, there were more than 1,000 lines with a capacity of 7 million bricks / year; 50 lines with capacity of 7-40 million bricks / year.

AAC Brick has 22 enterprises investing in projects, including 9 operating factories. Foam concrete brick 17 lines, but operating in moderation. In Vietnam, unburnt materials develop slowly due to the habit of using baked clay bricks, people are not familiar with unburnt bricks, not yet aware of using them as an environmental protection action; Quality, price of unburnt bricks is not equal to or cheaper than baked clay bricks. While baked clay bricks of good quality, low price; Simple equipment, low investment, and brick-making businesses are profitable because they are not subject to environmental taxes, cheap prices of raw materials, fuels and labor. not baked in time, by 2010 the Government issued Decision 567 / QD-TTg on unburnt materials.

Producing and using unburnt and green construction materials is an indispensable trend of the world in general and Vietnam in particular. The introduction of the Circular "Regulations on the use of unburnt materials in construction works" with the tough measures of the Government and the interest of the people, hopefully unburnt materials will develop in the future. hybrid.
